The president of Kiribati, in the below linked article, says, "I am not a scientist but what I know is that things are happening we did not experience in the past..." This is also the tack taken by Al Gore and is also why global warming got started in the first place. People with a tiny world view are trying to judge massive, global systems that have spanned the eons.
