Another Global Warming Critic Steps Forward

Read the extended article here and notice one thing...the two authors are physicists, not politicians, not Al Gore types who don't know a barometer from a turnkey baster. That the sun is causing warming makes total sense. I've said it before, no one seems to think, they just don't use their heads. We all have been told there was an ice age, right? We all know that ice age if over, right? How did it end? Certainly not human intervention, not factories run by wooly mammoths and saber toothed tigers.

If the last ice age ended without the help of man and certainly it began without the help of man, then cycles of warming and cooling are a normal part of the Earth's history.

Two New Books Confirm Global Warming is Natural, Moderate Tuesday January 30, 2007 Two powerful new books say today’s global warming is due not to human activity but primarily to a long, moderate solar-linked cycle. Unstoppable Global Warming Every 1500 Years, by physicist Fred Singer and economist Dennis Avery was released just before Christmas. The Chilling Stars: A New Theory of Climate Change, by Danish physicist Henrik Svensmark and former BBC science writer Nigel Calder (Icon Books), is due out in March. Singer and Avery note that most of the earth’s recent warming occurred before 1940, and thus before much human-emitted CO2. Moreover, physical evidence shows 600 moderate warmings in the earth’s last million years. The evidence ranges from ancient Nile flood records, Chinese court documents and Roman wine grapes to modern spectral analysis of polar ice cores, deep seabed sediments, and layered cave stalagmites. Unstoppable Global Warming shows the earth’s temperatures following variations in solar intensity through centuries of sunspot records, and finds cycles of sun-linked isotopes in ice and tree rings. The book cites the work of Svensmark, who says cosmic rays vary the earth’s temperatures by creating more or fewer of the low, wet clouds that cool the earth. It notes that global climate models can’t accurately register cloud effects.The Chilling Stars relates how Svensmark’s team mimicked the chemistry of earth’s atmosphere, by putting realistic mixtures of atmospheric gases into a large reaction chamber, with ultraviolet light as a stand-in for the sun. When they turned on the UV, microscopic droplets—cloud seeds—started floating through the chamber. “We were amazed by the speed and efficiency with which the electrons [generated by cosmic rays] do their work of creating the building blocks for the cloud condensation nuclei,” says Svensmark. The Chilling Stars documents how cosmic rays amplify small changes in the sun’s irradiance fourfold, creating 1-2 degree C cycles in earth’s temperatures: Cosmic rays continually slam into the earth’s atmosphere from outer space, creating ion clusters that become seeds for small droplets of water and sulfuric acid. The droplets then form the low, wet clouds that reflect solar energy back into space. When the sun is more active, it shields the earth from some of the rays, clouds wane, and the planet warms. Unstoppable Global Warming documents the reality of a moderate, natural, 1500-year climate cycle on the earth. That Bathroom Talk

This STORY about the congressman who was rude to Rove, the VP and Laura Bush (therefore by proxy also the President) is all over the news, talk radio and in blogs galore. I've read about how he acted like an immature boy, was rude, should be recalled, how he is a disgrace to the community that elected him and so much more. What he said isn't why I am writing and certainly isn't what I am indignant about. Liberals always attack people personally, it is their stock and trade and I expect nothing more from them. They have never hid the fact that when they can't win with the ideas they have (as there are usually none) they will win by knocking people down. Liberals are bullies of the worst sort.

What makes me raw is the fact that this whole story is an out and out lie. It never happened. Now that it is public and the fact that he made it up is out, this guy will only say, "no comment". So bold in the mens room, yet so timid in the spotlight! Bullies are like cockroaches indeed; they will molest the home and pantry while you sleep, in the cover of dark, but when the light is shinned on them they run and hide. This little fellow is just like that, he spins a yarn and doesn't expect it to see the light of day and when it finally does he must hide.

The White House agrees with me, they say it never happened too.

I'm tired of liars in Washington. Party affiliation, even ideology mean nothing to me, if a man isn't honest and just in his dealings with his fellow man. Can you think of a single thing you would rather have in a politian than that? I can't. They can be liberal, conservative, black, white, male female, it doesn't matter one whit to me as long as they are honest. Tell me what you think and feel and desire for this country. Those who gain power by saying one thing and then working in the shadows for another are the worst kind. They've made a pack with the devil like some Sith Lord from Star Wars. I don't trust any of them right now, not on the left, not on the right. That's the biggest problem we have as a country right now, that one thing, is worse in our government than any other thing. How does it get fixed? It is our fault really, we elect people and then turn a blind eye. We think standing in a booth and casting our vote is all that is required and once we have done that our job is done. We must realize we have a job to be aware of the signs of the times, the movements of nations and of governments the world over. How they affect us as a nation should matter to us, how our elected officials deal with other nations should also matter to us. WE are doomed if we just let them do what they want while we spin in the parlor. The wolf is in the house, we let them in, we elected them!
